DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Director, Product Management to own the Zing.ai platform product strategy and roadmap.
This is a senior product leadership role for someone who can turn a proven platform into a category-defining operating system for final mile logistics. You will define where the platform goes next, how we prioritize across customers and internal operations, how we convert field complexity into scalable product capabilities, and how we deliver ambitious business, operational and customer outcomes.
You will lead product managers and partner deeply with engineering, data science, operations, customer success, sales, finance, and executive leadership. The role requires a product leader who is equally comfortable in customer conversations, platform architecture discussions, operational reviews, roadmap tradeoffs, and executive strategy sessions.
This is not a maintenance role. It is a mandate to expand Ziing.ai from a strong foundation into a high-scale, enterprise grade platform with measurable impact across delivery performance, network efficiency, automation, customer experience, partner performance, and financial accuracy.
What You’ll Own
Platform Strategy and Roadmap
· Own the long-term Ziing.ai platform product strategy, including the product vision, strategic pillars, investment themes, sequencing, and multi-year roadmap.
- Translate Ziing’s business strategy into a clear platform roadmap that supports enterprise growth, operational leverage, service partner performance, driver productivity, and customer outcomes.
· Establish clear product principles for platform scalability, usability, configurability, reliability, data quality, automation, and operational accountability.
· Use customer feedback, market research, competitive analysis, support insights, operational data, and financial performance data to shape product direction.
· Make hard prioritization decisions across customer needs, operational pain points, technical debt, platform foundations, new capabilities, and revenue opportunities.
Growth, Adoption, and Outcome Ownership
· Set and deliver aggressive product goals across adoption, usage, automation, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, partner productivity, driver compliance, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency.
· Convert successful product capabilities into repeatable, scalable workflows used across customers, regions, delivery models, and service partner networks.
· Create product mechanisms that reduce operational dependency on manual intervention while improving reliability, transparency, and exception resolution.
· Define the product instrumentation, dashboards, metrics, and feedback loops needed to understand platform health, user behavior, workflow performance, and business impact.
Product Leadership and Team Management
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers responsible for core platform capabilities, user experiences, workflow systems, data products, and AI-enabled tools.
· Build a high-performance product culture grounded in customer discovery, operational truth, analytical rigor, crisp decision-making, and strong product judgment.
· Establish clear expectations for product strategy, discovery, PRDs, roadmap communication, stakeholder management, launch readiness, post-launch measurement, and product quality.
Cross-Functional Execution
· Partner deeply with engineering and data science to define technical direction, platform architecture trade-offs, AI opportunities, delivery sequencing, and quality standards.
· Work with sales and customer success to support enterprise customer conversations, roadmap narratives, implementation planning, and adoption strategies.
- Partner with sales, operations, customer success, and finance to connect the product roadmap directly to revenue growth, margin improvement, customer retention, implementation speed, service quality and financial reporting.
· Work with design to create product experiences that simplify complex workflows for operations teams, drivers, customers, and partners.
· Align executive stakeholders around product priorities, trade-offs, progress, risks, and outcomes.
AI, Data, and Platform Intelligence
· Define how Ziing.ai evolves across routing, dispatch, visibility, execution workflows, exception management, compliance, analytics, financial reconciliation, partner tooling, driver experience, and AI-enabled decision support.
- Partner with data and engineering teams to improve platform data quality, event tracking, operational telemetry, analytics, and feedback loops.
- Build toward a platform that helps teams anticipate issues, recommend actions, automate routine decisions, and improve performance over time.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Product Management, Information Systems, Operations, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Equivalent experience leading complex B2B SaaS, platform, logistics, AI, marketplace, or enterprise software products will be strongly considered.
- Product management, agile, data analytics, AI, cloud, or platform strategy certifications are an asset.
· 10+ years of product management experience, including significant ownership of complex B2B, SaaS, logistics, marketplace, platform, AI, data, workflow, or enterprise software products.
· 3+ years managing and developing product managers.
- Proven experience owning product strategy and roadmap for a business-critical platform.
- Track record of expanding a product beyond early successful use cases into repeatable, scalable adoption across customers, teams, markets, or business lines.
- Strong experience translating ambiguous customer, operational, and business problems into clear product strategy and shippable roadmap.
- Demonstrated ability to set aggressive goals and deliver measurable outcomes across adoption, revenue, efficiency, quality, retention, or customer experience.
- Strong technical fluency, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering, architecture, data science, and design.
- Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to explain strategy, trade-offs, progress, risk, and impact with clarity.
- Strong product judgment, analytical rigor, customer empathy, and operational curiosity.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, last-mile delivery, fleet operations, marketplace networks, routing, dispatch, warehouse operations, or field-service software.
- Experience with AI-enabled workflow automation, predictive analytics, decision-support systems, or agentic product experiences.
- Experience building products for multiple user types.
