ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

AM Warehouse Lead (Calgary)

The AM Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting all warehouse functions. This individual will monitor the daily activities of warehouse associates and forklift drivers while ensuring the loading/unloading of all route trucks, and transports is completed in an efficient and safe manner.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing and shipping

• Assign work, set priorities and monitor workflow to meet productivity, accuracy and service targets

• Act as primary point of contact on shift for operational issues and escalations.

• Work closely with internal management to execute all planned programs.

• Monitor inventory accuracy.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory, shipments or documentation.

• Train and supervise a staff of warehouse personnel.

• Direct the daily housekeeping and maintenance of warehouse grounds.

• Manage and model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures.

• Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and workflow.

• Familiar with Rf scanning equipment.

• Work directly with the driver team to ensure compliance.

• Monitor daily KPI’s and work to resolve short comings

• Other duties as assigned.


Work Schedule and Location:

• Tuesday to Friday 1:00am-10:00 am

• Saturday 5:00am to 1:30pm

• Our warehouse is in Northeast Calgary by the airport and is not transit accessible. Employees are responsible to provide their own reliable transportation to and from work.


You’re a Great Fit If You Have:

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience supervising & leading people in a warehouse environment.

• Must have strong leadership, communication, organizational & customer service skills.

• Should have good PC knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel.

• The ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

• Experience using a forklift (a professional forklift certification is required).

• The ability to solve problems quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.

• Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity & be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis.

• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Clear understanding of English language both verbal and written.

• Experience with WMS(warehouse management systems) and TMS(transportation management systems) is an asset.
