Wuxly is a Canadian leader in advanced textile integration, tactical apparel, smart textiles and soft-goods manufacturing—pairing design, pattern engineering, supply chain, and scalable production to deliver for defence and government clients. We operate as the commercial and operational bridge between breakthrough textile technologies and end users—acting as a systems integrator and program manager from concept to delivery. Our work sits in the dual-use arena: mission-ready solutions for Defence & Tactical, extreme cold weather (uniforms, outerwear, shelters, covers, concealment) alongside a growing consumer business, translating that same performance standard into premium outerwear and everyday gear built for real conditions. Our products and programs are executed under ISO 9001/14001 discipline and shaped by performance proven in the world’s harshest environments.
Reporting to Wuxly's Chief Marketing Officer, the Content Creator makes the work. You will shoot, edit, design and write creative for two brands: wuxly.com in premium consumer outerwear and wuxlydefence.com in defence and government. This is a hands-on role for an emerging creative who loves making content daily, takes direction well and wants to grow inside a fast-moving brand that spans consumer and defence. A background in, or genuine curiosity about, the Canadian military and defence community will make you feel at home here.
The Opportunity:
- Produce photography, video, social and digital assets in-house at a high standard and a fast pace.
- Create content for two distinct audiences, consumer and defence, working within the Wuxly brand system.
- Feed the creative engine behind campaigns, trade shows, product launches and PR moments.
- Build and maintain web pages and digital experiences using AI-assisted development.
- Support Wuxly's podcast and long-form content program with editing, clips and graphics.
What you will get up to:
Photography
- Shoot product, social, event, factory and behind-the-scenes photography for both brands.
- Assist on campaign, on-figure and location shoots, including cold-weather field work.
- Handle retouching, colour correction, cut-outs and export specifications across web, print and press.
- Work to a photography standard built on real product in real conditions rather than renders.
Video + Motion
- Shoot and edit short-form vertical video for LinkedIn, X, Instagram and YouTube.
- Capture and cut event coverage, field testing footage and behind-the-scenes content.
- Assist on brand films and executive interviews, including lighting, audio and second camera.
- Deliver finished edits with colour, subtitles, basic motion graphics and platform-correct exports.
Design, Copy + Digital Assets
- Design carousels, static posts, thumbnails, banners and campaign creative for brand and executive accounts.
- Write captions and short-form social copy in each brand's voice, with editorial review.
- Produce paid social and display creative to platform specification, including variants for testing.
- Build web, landing page and email assets for Shopify and Klaviyo alongside the Digital Lead.
- Help maintain a bank of ready-to-deploy assets so the team is never waiting on creative.
Web Development + AI-Assisted Build
- Maintain and extend wuxlydefence.com, an AI-built site, using tools such as Claude to write and edit HTML, CSS and code.
- Build new landing pages, campaign pages and capability pages for wuxlydefence.com with AI-assisted development and human review before launch.
- Keep site content current across both brand sites: banners, imagery, copy blocks and seasonal refreshes.
- Support content and asset updates on wuxly.com in Shopify alongside the Digital Lead.
Print + Collateral
- Design brochures, line sheets, product one-pagers and spec sheets to production-ready standard.
- Support trade show and event materials including booth graphics, banners, signage and leave-behinds.
Podcast + Long-Form Support
- Edit podcast audio and video for publishing in Riverside.fm, using both its AI editor and manual editing tools, working from the show's established format.
- Design episode graphics, audiograms and clip packages for distribution, using AI-assisted clip selection where it speeds delivery.
- Repurpose each episode into social clips and short written content.
Asset Library + Workflow
- Design brochures, line sheets, product one-pagers and spec sheets to production-ready standard.
- Support trade show and event materials including booth graphics, banners, signage and leave-behinds.

- Solid graphic design fundamentals across digital, with print exposure an asset.
- Competent short-form copywriting and the judgement to adapt voice between consumer and defence audiences.
