Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of Wuxly by managing our accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing key insights to support our business strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainability and eager to contribute to a company that values ethical business practices.


Location: Wuxly warehouse + offices, located at 1680 Courtneypark Drive East, Mississauga.


What You’ll Get Up To:


  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Oversee and execute all AP/AR activities, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Efficient Bookkeeping: Maintain precise financial records, ensuring all transactions are documented correctly and in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Additional responsibilities as the role and the candidate evolve
  • Cashflow Management: Monitor and maintain cashflows, ensuring the company’s liquidity is managed effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Support the maintenance of our inventory management systems, ensuring accurate tracking and valuation of inventory.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of all business processes and financial controls.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare detailed analyses and reports of financial transactions, providing insights to drive future business plans.
  • Grant and Funding Applications: Provide financial support in the preparation and submission of grant and funding applications.
  • Financial Statements: Take ownership of setting up records leading to the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with other departments and provide additional financial support as needed, contributing to the overall growth and success of Wuxly.


Skills And Qualifications We’re Looking For:


  • Humble, Hungry, Hardworking, Resourceful
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • High level of accountability
  • Valid drivers license and consistent access to a vehicle
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo prefered) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
