Senior Product Developer

As Wuxly continues its growth as a leading Canadian brand, we are looking for a Senior Product Developer to develop and execute Wuxly products from first sample creation through to production, driving high quality Wuxly Outerwear within the brand aesthetics set by Design and Marketing. We are looking for someone who is Humble, Hungry, and has Heart, and is able to wear multiple hats in an exciting, team oriented, start-up environment.


Responsibilities:


• Act as a Wuxly Movement ambassador in all interactions, fully adopting the #LiveWarm approach

• Manage product/style from initial concepts through to production and delivery to meet Product development calendar dates

• Drive the sample development of the style with the right vendor for best execution,

costing and quality against target retails from the merchandising team

• Update and finalize production cost sheets and tech packs/bill of materials

• Update WIP report and collaborate with cross functional Operations team members to ensure full transparency and awareness of style status

• Manage production execution of product category, work with vendors to ensure product is meeting initial cost objectives along the development timeline, problem solving as required

• Creating concept and design presentations are required

• Development and ordering of raw materials, tracking closely to meet production timelines

• Oversee seasonal developments & special projects/collaborations from inception to completion

• Organize and file submissions for trim and fabric approvals

• Become subject matter expert and brand ambassador for Wuxly Movement and all Wuxly products

• Additional responsibilities as the role evolves


Profile:


• 7+ years of demonstrated ablity to lead product/style from initial concepts through to production and delivery to meet Product development calendar dates

• Passion and knowledge about sustainability - Strong understanding of sustainable garments and textile processes

• Strong understanding of outerwear technical apparel construction with knowledge and experience with outerwear performance textiles

• Knowledge of product calendar timeline and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines

• Proficient working in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Office Outlook
