WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Full-cycle accounting for our public parent company and its wholly-owned subsidiaries
  • Working paper preparation
  • Month-end adjusting entries
  • Quarterly consolidation of entities
  • Account reconciliations
  • Payroll review
  • Preparing various government remittances
  • Overseeing company bookkeepers
  • Assisting with implementing accounting policies and procedures
  • Some administrative tasks

MUST HAVES

  • Formal education or equivalent work experience in full-cycle accounting environment
  • Knowledge of accounting for foreign entities and subsidiaries
  • Experience with consolidation preparation and elimination entries
  • Experience with putting together working papers for audit
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with business productivity suites such as Google G Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable with business technology and tools

NICE TO HAVE

  • Prior experience with public companies (TSX.V, CNSX)
