Compensation:
- Salary: $90k-$105k salary including tips
- Benefits: 2 weeks of paid vacation annually, plus a competitive bonus plan and tips.

Role Overview: The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house (FOH) service operations for both catering and venue businesses. This role ensures seamless event execution, exceptional guest experiences, and a motivated, professional service team. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, attention to detail, and an ability to balance guest service, staff development, and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House Leadership- Oversee day-to-day FOH operations across venues and catering events.
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and hospitality in all guest interactions.
- Develop and implement service standards, training, and SOPs across multiple outlets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for venue service execution and event delivery.
- Support team scheduling, payroll approvals, and staffing plans for events and outlets.
- Lead FOH setup, staffing, and service delivery for offsite and onsite catered events.
- Collaborate with the culinary and logistics teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Conduct post-event reviews to evaluate service success and areas for improvement.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure all event expectations are met or exceeded.
- Support operations at Whistler Cooks-managed venues, ensuring service consistency and alignment with brand standards.
- Oversee operations, product quality, and responsible service compliance.
- Partner with the Venue Operations and Sales teams to ensure readiness for private events and high-volume service days.
- Recruit, train, and mentor FOH staff and supervisors.
- Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive work environment.
- Support internal growth and cross-training opportunities across venues and catering.
- Assist with budgeting, labour forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Manage labour performance to budgets for FOH.
- Monitor inventory, beverage costing, and event profitability.
- Support menu development, pricing, and seasonal updates in collaboration with culinary leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in food and beverage or event management.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Strong background in hospitality service, catering, or venue operations.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Serving It Right and FoodSafe certification required.
