In this role:
Events & Outlets Supervisor will be the lead on front of house event setup & service as well as the onsite supervisor while at Whistler Olympic Park. This role includes serving & supervising a small team during events as well as taking on daily tasks at our venues.
Specific Tasks Include:
EVENTS - Warehouse / Maintenance
- Maintain the warehouse in an organized fashion by ensuring maintenance and cleanliness that all equipment for the means of service is kept in excellent shape.
- Complete mileage logs when using any Whistler Cooks vehicle.
- Ensure that warehouse is kept organized and clean.
EVENTS/VENUES - Customer Service
- Greet and assist guests to ensure excellent customer service.
- Supervise daily FOH operations
- Assign sections and manage staff breaks/rotations.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching/training.
- Handle guest concerns, complaints, or special requests promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures (cash-outs, checklists, reports).
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor inventory levels of FOH supplies
- Assist in training new FOH staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of dining areas.
- Assist the Event Manager in executing Events to the highest level.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Experience in the Food Service Industry at Events/Banquets
- Valid BC Drivers License - Comfortable driving up to 5 tonne trucks.
- Able to frequently lift and carry items greater than 35 pounds.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently and as a member of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Hold a valid work permit or be a Canadian Citizen.
