Pay: $22 - $26 an hour including tips


In this role:

You will work at Whistler Cooks Catering.
You will be responsible for cleaning dishes and help keep the kitchen clean throughout your shift.


Specific Tasks Include:

  • Ensure dishes are available as needed.
  • Keep sanitation solutions filled up in compliance with company codes at all times.
  • Set up dish sanitizing machine at the start of the shift and closes dish sanitizing machine down at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain daily cleanliness and maintenance of the dish sanitizing machine.
  • Trouble-shoots dish sanitizing machine malfunctions.
  • Wash plate ware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and kitchen utensils and equipment according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  • Clean and sanitizes the kitchen throughout the shift include sweeping, mopping floors, wiping counter tops, and emptying garbage/recycling bins.
  • Place clean plate ware, glassware, silverware and pot/pans in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  • Help service load and unload any incoming/outgoing trucks as needed.
  • Keep the Front of the House service area clean by emptying garbage/recycle bins and sweeping/mopping floors.
  • Report any safety or equipment issues to Executive Chef, Sous Chefs and / or Service Supervisor.
  • Help in kitchen where required

You will need to:

  • Be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for an entire shift.
  • Be able to frequently lift and carry food, beverage and other items greater than 35 pounds, able to transport up to 70 pounds regularly.
  • Hold a valid work permit or be a Canadian Citizen.
  • Have secure accommodation within the Sea to Sky Corridor.
