Westridge Construction is looking to add an experienced full-time Superintendent to our Saskatoon team. We are open to candidates with a range of experience levels, from developing Superintendents to those capable of leading large, complex projects.
What You’ll Do
· Oversee day-to-day site operations on one or multiple construction projects
· Lead projects of varying size and complexity (approximately $0 – $100M+) depending on experience
· Ensure site safety standards are met in collaboration with safety personnel
· Coordinate and manage site setup (utilities, offices, access, hoarding, material handling, etc.)
· Lead weekly planning meetings and support project scheduling
· Work closely with Project Managers and Coordinators on execution and methodology
· Coordinate labour requirements with HR and Field Services
· Supervise and support Foremen, Lead Hands, and field staff (scope dependent on experience)
· Manage subcontractors, including contract compliance and site performance
· Participate in project meetings (handover, review, pre-bid, etc.)
· Contribute to change pricing and monthly project reporting
· Maintain accurate project documentation (daily reports, photos, timesheets, etc.)
· Support QA/QC processes on site
· Track labour productivity and site performance
· Manage site equipment, tools, and material procurement
· Mentor and develop field staff
· Promote teamwork, innovation, and Westridge values
· Work out of town as required
What You Bring
We are open to a range of experience levels. The right candidate will demonstrate many of the following:
· 5–10+ years of construction experience, with increasing responsibility in a Superintendent or leadership role
· Proven ability to manage construction sites, with exposure to projects of varying size and complexity
· Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and site logistics
· Experience supervising crews and coordinating subcontractors
· Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
· Solid administrative and organizational skills (reports, timesheets, documentation, etc.)
· Proficiency with basic computer tools (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
· Strong communication skills with field staff, subcontractors, consultants, and owners
· Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
