Position Summary:

That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking Culinary Steward / Dishwasher to join our fast-paced kitchen team and support both our restaurant and catering and banquet operations.
As a member of our team, you’ll be part of a dynamic, high-volume environment where cleanliness, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential. You’ll play a key role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly by ensuring dishes, utensils, and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for service, while supporting the culinary team during busy periods.

Your duties and responsibilities include:
· Responsible for cleaning, washing, sanitizing and proper storage of tableware, cutlery, pots and pans.
· Responsible to clean restaurant, including restaurant equipment, catering facilities and patio area including table, floors, etc.
· Responsible for inspecting the dishwasher on daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure it is operating safely.
· Responsible to assist the Banquet Team with setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, linens, audio visual equipment, banquet presentations, coffee and water service and other banquet materials before events
· Follow requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
· Provide a welcoming, safe and exceptional client experience for all clients to the park.
· Handle customer payments accurately, including cash, credit, and mobile transactions.
· Maintain a balanced cash drawer and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
· Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and provide excellent customer service at the point of sale.
· Assisting other cooks in preparation of food or helping other team members when needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Previous kitchen experience is considered an asset
· First Aid and CPR would be considered an asset.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· A suitable combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
· Physically fit. Able to stand, walk, lift for the majority of the shift as well as able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds or more.
Additional Requirements:
· A satisfactory criminal record check is required as a condition of employment.
· Wanuskewin is located outside of Saskatoon city limits and public transportation is not available. Reliable personal transportation is required.
· Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and present a satisfactory drivers abstract.
