VP Foundations, a growing company within Carlson Construction Group, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of land piling and ground improvement projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day operations of ground improvement projects, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, and schedule performance
- Develop, monitor, and optimize construction schedules to keep projects on track
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts, variations, and change orders
- Coordinate closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to achieve project milestones
- Manage job costing, profitability, forecasting, and reporting in collaboration with accounting and leadership teams
- Act as a key client liaison, supporting business development and effective resource deployment
- Mentor, guide, and support junior project staff while remaining engaged with field operations as required
- Champion a strong Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) culture across all projects
Qualifications / Requirements
- University degree or diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Registered or eligible to register as an AScT or EIT / P.Eng. in British Columbia
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, including geotechnical engineering projects
- Nice to have: Experience with CFA ground improvement and secant piles
- Strong knowledge of ground improvement techniques, foundations, earth retaining structures, and driven piles
- Solid experience in contract management, scheduling, and financial project controls
- Familiarity with government approvals and trade standards
- Excellent project management, communication, and time‑management skills

Salary : $160,000 – $190,000 per annum
The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related factors including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
