YOUTH & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DIRECTOR

Toronto City Church is seeking a passionate, Spirit-filled leader to serve as our Youth & Community Outreach Director.

This unique role combines leadership of our thriving youth ministry with oversight of community engagement through the Toronto City Sports Centre, a premier indoor sports facility that serves athletes, families, schools, sports organizations, and community groups throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeing young people encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover their God-given purpose. At the same time, this leader will help steward one of our church’s greatest outreach opportunities by ensuring the Sports Centre remains a welcoming, excellent, and community-focused environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Youth & Community Outreach Director provides leadership to our Limitless Student Ministries (Grades 6–12) while overseeing community engagement initiatives connected to the Toronto City Sports Centre.

The successful candidate will build volunteer teams, disciple students, develop leaders, oversee facility operations, cultivate community partnerships, and create pathways that connect people from the community into the life of the church.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Youth Ministry

• Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for Limitless Student Ministries.
• Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings.
• Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders.
• Organize camps, retreats, conferences, and special events.
• Provide pastoral care and discipleship for students.
• Partner with parents in the spiritual development of their teenagers.
• Create opportunities for students to serve, grow, and encounter God.

Community Engagement & Sports Centre Leadership

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Toronto City Sports Centre.
• Manage facility bookings, rentals, and scheduling.
• Build relationships with community organizations, sports clubs, schools, and facility users.
• Ensure a positive customer experience for all renters and guests.
• Coordinate facility cleanliness, maintenance, and operational excellence.
• Assist with front desk coverage and customer service as needed.
• Identify opportunities to increase facility usage and community engagement.
• Develop strategies that create natural connections between Sports Centre users and church ministries.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in youth ministry leadership.
• Experience leading volunteers and teams.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ministry training, Bible college, seminary education, or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
• Experience in facility management, sports programming, customer service, or community engagement is considered an asset.
