Summer Student Job Opportunity - Groundskeeper

We are seeking motivated and reliable Summer Students to join our team as Grounds Keepers. This role is ideal for students who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and contributing to the upkeep and appearance of our residential communities throughout the summer season.

If you are interested to earn while you gain experience, this work term runs from May to August (3 months). This position will be working out of Lumen Townhomes, 100 Southview Crescent, Winnipeg MB.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, raking, and watering
• Assist with planting, weeding, and maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas
• Collect litter and ensure outdoor areas are clean and presentable
• Operate basic groundskeeping equipment and tools safely
• Assist with seasonal setup and cleanup of outdoor spaces
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be a current student or returning to school in the fall
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physically able to perform manual labour, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Previous groundskeeping or landscaping experience is an asset
• Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required
