Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Pay Rate: $20.40/ hr

The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Programs Manager, Entertainment - the Programs Intern, Entertainment’s role will be to provide support to the entertainment programs running at the CNE.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Assist with artist-related logistics and communications
· Help with event planning and onsite execution during show days
· Administrative support as the preparation of contracts, work orders, updating databases and spreadsheets, processing invoices and payments, as well as submitting timesheets
· Liaise with all levels of internal staff, third party suppliers, musicians, band managers, and production staff etc.
· Help coordinate marketing materials for the website and other assets
· During the CNE, assist with the move-in and move-out of stages, support the Entertainment Crew with daily operations, act as a main contact for B-stage bands, assist with organizing artist hospitality and general program setups
· Perform other duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
· Must have a valid G2 or G driver's license
· Must be available to work August 21st to September 7th, including Labour Day Monday
· Able to work flexible hours during peak event periods, including evenings and weekends
· Enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Music Business, Entertainment, or Arts Management program considered an asset
· Passionate about live music, festivals, and the entertainment industry
· Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
· Comfortable working in areas that contain bright lights, loud noises and crowds of people
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
· Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
· Must be able to engage in physical tasks, including safely lifting and moving heavy objects
