Mobile Device Repair Technician

Are you a skilled tech with a passion for fixing smartphones and tablets, and want to join a fast-paced, service-driven team? We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Device Repair Technician to join our crew and make an impact every day.

What you’ll do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) – including both iOS/Apple (iPhone, iPad) and Android devices (various brands).
  • Perform screen-replacements, battery replacements, port repairs, water-damage assessments, software resets and other common mobile device fixes.
  • Work in-shop and/or on-site (mobile repair van or customer location) depending on business needs.
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service: communicate clearly with customers about repair options, pricing, timelines, and solutions.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship: ensure repairs are done right the first time, document work, manage parts inventory, maintain tools and equipment.
  • Stay current with new devices and repair techniques; be comfortable adapting to new models, new technologies, and evolving repair challenges.
  • Collaborate with the team on workflow, suggest improvements, help meet service targets, maintain excellent customer satisfaction.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience repairing mobile devices: you’ve done screen replacements, battery swaps, device diagnostics, both Apple and Android.
  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills: you can explain tech issues in plain language, set expectations, and deliver great service.
  • Ability to work independently (onsite mobile repairs) and in a team-shop environment. Reliable, punctual, self-motivated.
  • Comfortable with a mobile work environment (driving/travel between sites in the Ottawa region).
  • Familiarity with parts, tools, repair software and basic device diagnostics. Prior experience with Apple ecosystem + Android brands is a major asset.
  • Flexibility: may involve occasional evenings or weekend work depending on customer demand.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage or salary (based on experience) plus potential bonus/commission for completed repair targets. Benefits and vehicle/travel allowance (for mobile work) may apply – details to be discussed.
