JOB DESCRIPTION

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for setting up, programming, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality machined parts as per specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, be proficient in programming, and possess excellent technical skills.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Program CNC machines using Master CAM, Fusion, and other CAM software to create required parts.
  • Collaborate with and lead the machining team in the set-up and operation of CNC lathes and mills to produce precision machined parts.
  • Verify and record dimensions of parts and adjust machine accordingly to obtain desired quality of end product.
  • Interpret production order information including drawings and part descriptions, and complete orders within deadlines using appropriate resources.
  • Assist with training new employees.
  • Other machining and QC related tasks as required.
  • Participate in company safety program and contribute to safe working environment.

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • Five or more years of related experience with CNC Lathe and Mill operation and set up.
  • Completed CNC Technician Certificate at an accredited institution.
  • Experience with Fusion 360 and Master CAM software.
  • WHMIS (2015) safety certification would be an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license or reliable transportation access.
  • Forklift license would be an asset.
