Location: Chestnut House - Ladner, BC  

Hours: 40 hours per week

Sunday 3pm-11pm

Monday 2pm -10pm  

Tuesday 7am-3pm

Wednesday 7am-3pm

Thursday 7am-3pm

Salary: $25.95

Start Date: May 3, 2026

 

We are looking for a Community Living Worker to join our Sources Community Living Services team! This individual must be passionate about working with people, engaging, and empathic.

Description of Position:

 Sources Community Living provides all-encompassing care for individuals who have been referred to us by Community Living British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for our residential program in Delta. This program supports individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health related needs. Our mission is to enable the pursuit of the best quality of life possible for our clients. We do this by fostering independence, well-being, and social participation.


Reporting to: Chestnut House Program Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Build meaningful relationships.
  • Coaching life skills.
  • Assist to design and implement person centred support plans.
  • Provide personal care as needed.
  • Assist with meal preparation and diet planning.
  • Medication administration.
  • Document and report activities.
  • Transport individuals.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist with medical and dental appointments.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Support in crisis management.
  • Follow and assist to maintain budgets.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, collective agreement provisions, and other mandatory regulations.
  • Other tasks as necessary to service delivery.

 

Physical Demands of Job: 

  • Lifting/Pushing/Pulling - 50%, Walking/Moving Around - 75%, Sitting - 25%, Time Spent Outdoors - 50%, Recreational Activities - 25%


Cognitive Demands of Job:

Qualification Assets:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in social services or equivalent.
  • Experience working in the field of social services, mental health, or equivalent.
  • Physically able to engage in various support and community-based activities.
  • Empathy and good emotional intelligence.
  • Work with initiative and integrity.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Clear criminal record check
