Location: Cedar Grove
Hours: 40 hours: Tues-Thursday 9-5pm, Friday/Saturday 7-3 pm
Salary: : $29.17-$33.49
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a Program Coordinator to join our Community Living team at our new Community Home location in Walnut Grove! This individual must Stand out as a Natural Leader, be Passionate about working with people, and want to Foster and Develop their Leadership Skills.

Sources Community Living Services:
Sources Community Living provides all-encompassing care for individuals who have been referred to us by Community Living British Columbia. These programs support individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health related needs. Our mission is to enable the pursuit of the best quality of life possible for our clients. We do this by fostering independence, well-being and social participation.
Description of Position:
Reporting to: Wendy Orlando, Manager of Cedar Grove
General Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Manager in providing orientation, training, work direction, and guidance to Community Living Workers
- Build and maintain relationships with clientele, families, professionals and staff
- Organize, create, and facilitate program schedules and activities specific to the client's goals and desires
- Work as a collaborative team member
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed
Program-specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe environment for staff and service users
- Follow and monitor positive behaviour support strategies
- Support residents in achieving a meaningful, fulfilling, and high quality of life
Physical Demands of Job:
- Lifting/Pushing/Pulling - 50%, Walking/Moving Around - 75%, Sitting - 25%, Time Spent Outdoors - 50%, Bending/Crouching - 25%
Cognitive Demands of Job:
- Independent Work - 50%, Task Memorization - 25%, Changing Priorities/Deadlines - 50%, Reading/Writing - 50%
Qualifications:
- Mandatory: Experience working with individuals with diverse abilities and/or mental health diagnoses
- Mandatory: Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mandatory: Organized and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while keeping the team focused
- Mandatory: Possession of a Class 4 Driver’s License (or Class 5 and be willing and able to obtain Class 4 within 3 months of hire) AND a clear driver’s abstract
- Mandatory: Skilled in providing dignified, respectful, and supportive care
- Mandatory: A clear criminal record check
