Salary: $22.94-$26.28 (JJEP Grid 5)

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant 1 to join our SOURCES Oceanside team! The Administrative Assistant supports the staff and programs at Oceanside by providing a variety of reception and clerical assistance in the office. Ideally, candidates

Description of Position:

 

Reporting to: Child Development Services Team Leader

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Provides a culturally safe, welcoming environment in the reception area
  • Supports the upkeep of various records, files, and related filing systems.

 

Program-specific Responsibilities:

  •  Answering phones, transferring calls, taking detailed messages.
  • Providing information about the services provided at Sources Oceanside Resource Centre to the public in person or via phone inquiries.
  • Performing basic data entry functions such as inputting electronic information, maintaining contact lists, and other records.
  • Performing general word processing and typing, including correspondence, reports, forms, and documents.
  • Ensuring all client file documents are scanned and labelled appropriately.
  • Distributing and posts printed information for clients, families, staff, and others.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education – mandatory
  • Clear criminal record check - mandatory
  • 6 months related experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
  • Computer skills and understanding of software such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
