The Role

We're hiring a Marketing & Communications Lead to own how Sofistic.AI shows up in the market — visually, digitally, and narratively. This is a hands-on individual contributor role: you'll own the full scope, from brand and design execution to SEO, SEM, communications, and content. You're not here to manage a team or brief an agency — you build, ship, and iterate yourself, with close collaboration with leadership and sales.

The mandate spans brand identity, website, sales collateral, pitch decks, external communications, and digital marketing. Everything we put in front of prospects, clients, and the market runs through you.

We're open to fractional or full-time — the right structure depends on the person and scope. If you're fractional, you should have bandwidth to be a genuine partner, not a vendor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Sofistic.AI brand system — visual identity, voice, design standards — ensuring consistency across every touchpoint
  • Lead a website revamp from strategy through execution (copy direction, design, and coordination with development if needed)
  • Design and maintain sales and marketing collateral: pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and product sheets
  • Own external communications: press releases, announcements, award submissions, and media outreach groundwork
  • Develop and manage a LinkedIn content calendar; ghostwrite thought leadership content for founders and leadership
  • Draft and maintain investor, partner, and client communication templates — consistent tone, professional presentation
  • Create motion and static assets for digital channels — LinkedIn, Google Ads, email
  • Own SEO end-to-end: site architecture, on-page optimization, keyword strategy, content briefs, backlink strategy, and performance tracking
  • Plan, launch, and optimize SEM campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads); own bidding strategy, ad copy, landing page alignment, and ROI reporting
  • Identify and pursue additional demand-generation channels relevant to the wealth management and fintech buyer (content syndication, review platforms, niche directories, etc.)
  • Partner with leadership on high-stakes presentation design (investor decks, enterprise proposals)
  • Use AI tools (Claude, Midjourney, or equivalent) fluently to accelerate production without sacrificing quality
  • Maintain a scalable asset library and design system the team can self-serve from


Who You Are

  • 5–7 years spanning brand/marketing design, communications, and digital marketing — with a portfolio that shows range across visual, web, and performance
  • Proficient across the standard stack: Figma (or equivalent), Adobe Creative Suite,etc
  • Strong writer — you can adapt tone across a press release, a LinkedIn post, an investor update, and a product one-pager
  • Hands-on with SEO: you've owned keyword strategy, technical audits, content optimization, and can read a Search Console report and act on it
  • Hands-on with SEM: you can build, manage, and optimize paid search and social campaigns yourself — not just brief an agency
  • Familiar with analytics and attribution: GA4, Google Search Console, and at least one SEO tool (Ahrefs, Semrush, or equivalent)
  • AI-native: you actively use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, or equivalent to accelerate and enhance your work — a real force multiplier, not a novelty
  • Equally comfortable with brand strategy as with pixel-level execution — you can write a creative brief and ship the final asset
  • Comfortable working lean and independently; you don't need a team or an agency to get things done
  • Strong communicator with senior stakeholders; you can explain decisions and take direction without ego
  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
  • Montreal-based; hybrid availability

Bonus: Experience in fintech, SaaS, or financial services; familiarity with HubSpot or Salesforce; motion design or video editing skills; experience with B2B content marketing or PR
