Soccer Nova Scotia (SNS) is seeking a passionate and motivated Facility Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of this vital community asset. POSITION OVERVIEW
Job Title: Facility Supervisor, BMO Soccer Centre
Job Location: 210 Thomas Raddall Drive, B3S 0J2
Reports to: Facility Manager
The Facility Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of the BMO Soccer Centre. The successful candidate will supervise frontline staff, manage facility workflows, ensure safety and cleanliness standards, and support strategic goals set by Soccer Nova Scotia.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Leadership and Development
- Supervise and support facility staff during assigned shifts, fostering a positive team culture.
- Lead staff onboarding and training on operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Provide regular performance feedback and mentorship.
- Coordinate staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage for daily and event operations.
- Address and resolve conflicts professionally.
Facility Operations and Safety
- Oversee daily facility operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections and identify/report maintenance issues.
- Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations, including emergency protocols.
- Supervise the setup and teardown of equipment and spaces for events, rentals, and programming.
- Ensure the facility remains clean, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
Bookings & Event Coordination
- Manage and process facility daily bookings and rentals.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and ensure timely communication with clients.
- Coordinate event logistics in collaboration with staff and external partners.
- Ensure spaces are properly prepared and staffed for all scheduled events.
Customer Experience & Administrative Support
- Deliver exceptional customer service to users and partners.
- Address inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the preparation of operational reports, booking summaries, and engagement metrics.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and supporting facility marketing and community initiatives.
Note: This position requires on-call availability for emergencies and includes alternating evening and weekend shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays. Shifts may vary week to week with evenings and weekends required as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Designations and Skills
Required:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills; ability to manage and resolve conflicts.
- 2+ years’ experience in facility management, project coordination, or administration in recreation, sport administration, or a public-facing role.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Computer literacy with G-Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel, MSWord and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to liaise effectively with the public, and other community groups.
- Team player. Willing to take direction and give direction while working towards a common vision for Soccer in Nova Scotia.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, including being on call when required
- WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certified (or willingness to obtain)
- CPR First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Record Check
- Valid Drivers License
- Eligibility to work full-time in Canada (Nova Scotia)
Assets:
- Facility operations or maintenance experience
- Experience using booking or scheduling software (RecTimes, etc.)
- Safety management
- Project coordination or administrative experience in recreation, sport administration or public-facing operational role.

Compensation: This is a full-time position with an annual salary and benefits package based on experience.
