Who Are We?
As a group of passionate technology developers, successful entrepreneurs, and industry experts, SiftMed is scaling quickly. We build AI processing software that organizes, categorizes, and analyzes medical files - helping teams find facts in medical data that can change lives.
Pipeline is the constraint on how fast we grow. This role sits at the very front of that - finding the med-legal and insurance organizations drowning in medical records, getting them on the phone, and earning the meeting. It's the most direct line into the rest of a sales career here.
What Do We Offer?
We work hard, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. You'll have a seat at the table, real ownership, and the ability to make a visible impact across the business. We care deeply about building an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace.
Who Are You?
You're competitive in a way that shows up in the work, not just the talk. You'd rather make the twentieth call of the day than sit in your inbox. Hearing "no" doesn't rattle you - you're already thinking about what to change on the next one.
You might be a new grad, a career switcher, or someone with years of outbound already behind you. We're open on background. What isn't optional is grit, coachability, and genuine comfort with high-volume outbound. If you've carried an outbound quota before, great - you'll ramp faster and we'll lean on you sooner.
You're curious about how things actually work. Our buyers run complex clinical and legal workflows, and you'll need to learn them fast enough to ask a VP of Claims a question that makes them stop and think. You write clearly, you take feedback without getting defensive, and you figure things out before asking for help.
What You Will Be Doing
Run a High-Volume Outbound Motion
- Own an outbound-heavy motion across calls, email, and LinkedIn into named accounts within our ICP.
- Research accounts and prioritize ruthlessly - find the ten that matter in a list of three hundred.
- Write personalized, relevant outreach that earns a reply, and iterate on what's working.
- Hold your activity levels consistently, including on the days the results aren't there yet.
Book Qualified Meetings That Stick
- Run cold calls that open cleanly, ask real discovery questions, and end with a clear meeting ask.
- Qualify against our criteria so meetings that get booked are meetings worth an AE's time.
- Own the handoff to Account Executives with context an AE can actually use.
- Follow up relentlessly on no-shows, reschedules, and warm-but-not-yet accounts.
Work Inbound and Marketing-Sourced Leads
- Respond to inbound and marketing-sourced leads fast, and qualify them with the same rigour as outbound.
- Work conference, webinar, and association leads into booked meetings, not just a list in a spreadsheet.
- Close the loop with Marketing on which sources and messages convert.
Learn the Market and Feed It Back
- Build working knowledge of our segments and how each one thinks about medical record review.
- Bring back objections, competitive mentions, and messaging that lands so the whole team gets sharper.
- Keep Salesforce clean and current - activity, notes, and outcomes.
AI Fluency + Application
At SiftMed, AI is at the core of what we build. We need someone who doesn't just understand AI as a buzzword - you live it.
- You use AI tools in your daily workflow - account research, list building, personalization at scale, call prep, and follow-up.
- You use AI to go faster without sounding like a bot. Generic AI-written outreach is worse than no outreach.
- You're excited to experiment with new AI-enabled prospecting tools and bring back what works.
- You can speak plainly about what our product does and why it matters, without overselling what AI can do.
Here Are Our Prerequisites
- 0 - 3 years of experience. New grads, career switchers, and current BDRs are all welcome - prior BDR experience is helpful but not required.
- Genuine comfort with high-volume outbound - you understand the role is mostly cold outreach and you want that.
- Grit and resilience - you've stuck with something hard when it wasn't going well.
- Coachability - you take specific feedback and change your behaviour because of it.
- Strong written and verbal communication - clear, concise, personalized. Not rambling, not generic, not robotic.
- Curiosity and problem-solving - you're resourceful and self-directed, and you ask thoughtful questions.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in your workflow - research, writing, or productivity.
It Would Be Great If You Have Experience In
- Prior BDR or SDR experience carrying an outbound meeting or pipeline quota.
- Customer-facing work of any kind - support, service, hospitality, or retail.
- Selling into insurance, healthcare, legal, or other regulated industries.
- Salesforce, and outbound tooling like Apollo, Outreach, or Salesloft.
- Prospecting into both US and Canadian markets.
- Early-stage or high-growth startup environments where the playbook was still being written.
