The Opportunity

As the Social Media Intern, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the marketing team to shape  our online narrative, and enhancing brand presence. With your creative flair, attention to detail, and strategic mindset, you'll craft captivating stories and source on-trend visuals to showcase our talent effectively. You'll be contributing to the overall success of our social media initiatives by executing specific aspects of the strategy. Working closely with our Social Media Manager, you'll drive engagement, strategic planning, and collaborative coordination, ensuring our brand maintains a cohesive and impactful online presence.

***Must require an internship for school credit.

What you would be doing:

Content Creation 

• Craft engaging content for Instagram stories around recurring themes such as talent birthdays, talent growth milestones, talent in the news, and themed round-ups
• Design eye-catching graphics using templates to maintain brand consistency and visual appeal
• Source relevant talent images and videos, as well as trending audio for usage on Shine’s social accounts.

Organization

• Update and ensure social channels are following only relevant accounts (i.e. signed trials and exclusive talents + brand partners and evergreen friends of Shine)

Copywriting 

• Draft captions for Instagram posts and TikTok videos 
• Draft compelling copy for newsletters to engage subscribers and drive traffic back to Shine’s website, our talent’s social media, or our media kits 

Collaborative Coordination 

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of social media efforts with overall marketing and branding strategies (i.e. set deadlines for team members for upcoming posts, ensuring talent content is diverse and relevant )
• Support cross-functional initiatives and projects to enhance brand visibility and engagement

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Possess a passion for the world of social media and digital marketing
• Have a proven track record of strong communication skills, organization, and proactive thinking

Compensation:

• • Please note: the role is unpaid with a $1,000 per month honorarium for full time interns and a $500 per month honorarium for part time interns.
