The Opportunity

Shine Talent Group is seeking an organized, proactive Publicity Assistant to support our expanding PR team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, but the candidate must be based in Los Angeles to attend onsite events and meetings occasionally.

Working directly alongside our Director of Communications and Casting, you will play a key role in managing the daily operations of the PR Department. 

Responsibilities

As a Publicity Assistant, you will manage administrative tasks, client logistics, and department organization. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Administrative Support: Assist the PR Director with daily calendar management, scheduling, note-taking, internal communications, and high-volume phone and email correspondence.
  • Logistics & Event Coordination: Coordinate client logistics for press events, interviews, media segments, red carpet appearances, and photo shoots.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date schedules for our talent roster.
  • PR Materials: Maintain and update digital press kits, pitches, and client bios.
  • Client Relations: Process client requests and inquiries in a timely, professional manner.

Requirements & Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a creative, solution-oriented multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience within the entertainment industry, studio, agency, or media company (relevant internships included).
  • Desk Experience: At least one year of experience successfully managing a high-volume desk.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Discretion: Capable of maintaining complete confidentiality regarding sensitive client information and schedules.
  • Organization: Highly organized and able to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Location: Must currently reside in the Los Angeles area and have the ability to work onsite when required.

Compensation

  • Non exempt $25/hour
  • Work from Home & Cellphone Allowance
