About the Role: 

We are in search of someone deeply passionate about the social space and how the influencer marketing industry develops for the Head of Talent role. The Head of Talent will support the Canadian team's growth and goals in relation to the social talent they represent.


The Head of Talent oversees roughly 8-12 team members and is responsible for ensuring they reach their collective billing target. The Head of Talent will work with team members individually to help them meet or exceed their individual billing targets as well as the billing targets outlined for each of the talent they represent. This will include but is not limited to seeing the team through everyday conflict with talent, brands, and agencies, leading weekly meetings with the team to analyze billings and strategize for talent, and act as the team's first point of contact when things get sticky.


Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years managing influencer campaigns and/or 3-4 years representing social talent
  • Strong conflict resolution skills - you are someone that views conflict as an opportunity
  • Passionate about influencer marketing and talent management (i.e. social talent)
  • Creative and out-of-the-box thinker
  • Team player attitude
  • Based in Ontario or British Columbia


Role Objectives:

Ensure assigned team members and talent in the Canadian market meet or exceed their goals, analyze billings and guide talent managers on strategy, ideate and implement larger group pitches, keep the team accountable for everyday tasks


Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of ATMs, TMs, STMs (emphasis on talent success & growth)
  • Lead weekly one on one meetings with TMs & STMs
  • Flag gaps in training to Director or Managing Director
  • Track talent goals/actuals
  • Analyze talent billings and recommend tactics
  • Work with talent managers to ideate & implement strategy
  • Evaluate talent roster for diversity, category fit, etc. and direct team in strategic casting efforts
  • Review all talent materials
  • Submit billing reports to Managing Director at mid-month, EOM, and EOQ
  • Track & analyze the team's proactive pitching efforts
  • Ensure action items assigned to the team in status meetings are carried out
  • Support team in higher-level conflict resolution
  • Escalate more sensitive conflict to the Managing Director for support
  • Form relationships with brands and agencies on behalf of the agency
  • Manage 2-3 high priority social talent
  • Campaign execution
  • Ensure social talent meet their monthly/quarterly targets
  • Lead bi-weekly meetings with Talent
  • Proactive pitching to brands and PR agencies on behalf of talent
  • Ideate & lead the team in implementing larger group pitching efforts
  • Additional tasks to support the company’s growth as directed by Management

Compensation:

  • Salary: $94,500/year
