The Opportunity***:
Talent Management Intern
We're looking for a couple of superstar interns to support our Canadian and US teams with an interest in finance or communications, digital marketing, and talent management. We have the ability to hire remotely so the applicants can be out of the Toronto or LA area.
We genuinely love the talent we represent and the team who represents them, so it is important that our new team member is able to jump in and embrace this role and be part of Team Shine.
***Must require an internship for school credit.
What you would be doing:
- Pitching talent to brands & creating pitch lists
- Scouting new talent for management
- Support with Shine's socials (creating grids, captions, IG stories, website)
- Support newsletter development
- Updating internal files
- Support Shine social events (logistics, set up, on-site support, tear down)
- Client-related research

- Possess a passion for the world of social media and digital marketing
- Have a proven track record of strong communication skills, organization, and proactive thinking
Social Media Intern
As the Social Media Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in curating compelling content for our digital platforms, shaping our online narrative, and enhancing brand presence. With your creative flair, attention to detail, and strategic mindset, you'll craft captivating stories and source on-trend visuals to showcase our talent effectively. You'll be at the forefront of our digital storytelling efforts, contributing to the overall success of our social media initiatives by executing specific aspects of the strategy. Working closely with a Social Media Manager or marketing teams, you'll drive engagement, strategic planning, and collaborative coordination, ensuring our brand maintains a cohesive and impactful online presence.
Content Creation
- Craft engaging content for Instagram stories around recurring themes such as talent birthdays, talent growth milestones, talent in the news, and themed round-ups
- Design eye-catching graphics using templates to maintain brand consistency and visual appeal
- Source relevant images aligned with current trends, such as talent showcasing seasonal fashion or themes
Grid Planning
- Strategically plan and curate the Instagram grids for Shine Talent Group, The Thread, and Ventures, ensuring visual coherence, diversity, and storytelling
- Edit TikTok videos to captivate audiences and align with platform trends and best practices
- Schedule content to go live in Later
Copywriting
- Draft captions for Instagram posts and TikTok videos
- Draft compelling copy for newsletters to engage subscribers and drive traffic back to Shine’s website, our talent’s social media, or our media kits
Collaborative Coordination
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of social media efforts with overall marketing and branding strategies (i.e. set deadlines for team members creating tiktoks for us, ensure they're added to the social draw)
- Support cross-functional initiatives and projects to enhance brand visibility and engagement
Compensation:
- Please note: the role is unpaid with a $1,000 per month honorarium.
