What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing Events Crew Key Holder to join our seasonal team, reporting to our Events Lead. This part-time position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences during our busy events season. The role requires strong organizational skills, a high level of customer service, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with families and children, thrives on being active, and brings a positive, festive attitude to their work.
June 20: Family Fun Day
- Assist with setup and takedown of event activations and equipment
- Help oversee event operations to ensure activities are running safely and efficiently
- Monitor attractions including the bouncy castle, petting zoo, and activity stations
- Support wristband sales, guest check-in, and registration table operations
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming family-friendly atmosphere
- Assist with crowd flow, line management, and overall guest experience
- Troubleshoot issues throughout the day and support the Events Lead in ensuring smooth event execution
September 12 & September 13: Fall Market
- Help direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic during set-up
- Assist vendors with setup and takedown when needed
- Support front entrance operations and welcome guests to the market
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with guest inquiries
- Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and flow throughout the event
- Assist with product sales and market operations if required
- Support event logistics and problem-solving during busy periods
- Create a positive and engaging atmosphere for customers and vendors alike
September 15 – October 31: Kids FunZone (Fall Events)
- Oversee daily operations of the Kids Funzone area
- Ensure all rides and attractions are operating safely and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, with a focus on family satisfaction
- Supervise and support team members as needed, maintaining a fun and safe environment
- Manage concessions area, ensuring quality, cleanliness, and timely service
- Address guest inquiries or concerns in a professional and solution-focused manner
November 1 – December 23: Holiday Season & Santa Photo Experience
- Manage daily operations of the Santa photo experience, including guest check-in and photo flow
- Ensure Mr. & Mrs. Claus are supported throughout their shift
- Maintain an inviting, joyful environment for families and children
- Oversee line management, guest interactions, and overall experience quality
- Participate in the festive atmosphere by wearing holiday-themed costume attire
Qualifications
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, or similar industries preferred
- Reliable transportation to Headingley, MB
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Comfortable working in a high-energy, family-oriented environment
- Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods and lift/move light equipment as needed
- Holiday themed attire is required between November - December
- Availability to work weekends and additional shifts during peak event dates
