Position Overview:

The Customer Service & Sales Representative is a seasonal, full-time position responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting sales within the Supply Division from April 1 to November 1.

This role focuses not only on processing sales and preparing quotes, but on building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, commercial clients, and homeowners. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted point of contact, ensuring customers feel supported, informed, and confident in their purchasing decisions.

Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, repeat business, strong contractor relationships, and accurate order coordination across the Supply Division team.


What You’ll Be Doing:

Customer Service & Sales
  • Provide knowledgeable, friendly service in-store, by phone, and via email
  • Build long-term relationships with contractor and commercial customers by understanding their projects and ongoing needs
  • Develop trust with homeowners by offering guidance and product knowledge
  • Prepare quotes and process transactions through POS systems
  • Follow up on quotes and proactively reconnect with customers to secure sales
  • Upsell complementary products and services when appropriate
  • Resolve customer issues professionally and promptly
  • Track customer preferences, job timelines, and purchasing patterns
  • Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and increase loyalty
Order Coordination & Support
  • Communicate orders clearly to yard staff and drivers
  • Schedule deliveries and coordinate customer pickups
  • Ensure invoices, paperwork, and order details are accurate
  • Follow up on quotes and customer inquiries
Inventory & Merchandising Support
  • Restock and maintain showroom and sales floor displays
  • Update pricing and signage as directed
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment
Administrative Support
  • Assist with daily cash handling and reconciliations
  • Maintain customer accounts and records
  • Support reporting and documentation as required


What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of customer service or retail experience
  • Sales experience is an asset
  • Experience in landscaping, construction, or building materials is an asset
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work with contractors and homeowners alike
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Basic computer skills (POS systems, email, inventory software)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Hours of Work

Weekend work will be required for this position every Saturday.
