Marketing Brand & Content Manager
(Full Time Permanent)
What We Are Looking For:
Shelmerdine is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead the content, creativity, and marketing momentum behind two exciting brands: Shelmerdine Garden Center and Thirty Seven Fashion.
This role is for someone who loves the pace of retail, the energy of social media, and the satisfaction of seeing people walk into the store because of something you created. You’ll be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content that keeps both brands feeling alive, current, and impossible to ignore; from trend-driven reels and product highlights, to fashion-forward content and seasonal storytelling that drives real foot traffic.
You won’t just manage the calendar, you’ll be in it. This is a hands-on role for someone who can create, post, design, and execute at a high level while keeping everything organized, on schedule, and aligned with seasonal business goals.
The Brands You’ll Run:
Shelmerdine Garden Center
A beloved destination for plants, gardening, gifts, home decor, seasonal inspiration, and in-store experiences. You’ll bring the store to life through social media, educational campaign content, newsletters, blog-style storytelling, and website updates that keep our community excited to visit year-round.
Thirty Seven Fashion
Our boutique rebrand, fun, elevated, full of personality, and style-forward. Built to feel like its own exciting brand inside (and beyond) Shelmerdine. You’ll be responsible for building its voice, vibe, and presence through trend-driven reels, fashion content, newsletters, lifestyle storytelling, and website edits that make it feel like a real standalone brand; and make people want to come in, browse, and shop.
What You’ll Own:
- Full ownership of the execution for both Shelmerdine and Thirty Seven Fashion, with content strategy collaboration with the Chief of Marketing
- Social media planning and creating posting consistency (Instagram-first, with additional platform support as needed)
- Short-form video creation, including reels, trend-based content, and high-performing story formats
- Graphic design for marketing needs including promotions, event assets, sale moments, and in-store campaigns
- Newsletter creation and execution to drive traffic into the store
- Blog content creation through WooCommerce to support seasonal education, storytelling, and SEO value
- Website edits and updates to ensure promotions, collections, and key messaging stay current
- Bringing people into the store through marketing that feels exciting, relevant, and worth showing up for
What You’ll Do:
- Create and publish high-volume, high-quality content for both brands, keeping each one distinct, clear, and exciting
- Stay on top of trends and adapt them quickly in a way that fits our brand and audience
- Create and design marketing assets as needed (posts, stories, graphics, promos, signage-ready visuals, etc.)
- Build and manage content calendars that keep both brands consistent without missing key seasonal moments
- Coordinate content across departments including greenhouse, outdoor sales, gift/home decor, and supply division
- Work closely with the Events Lead to promote key events and ensure marketing support is planned ahead of time
- Create newsletters that support product arrivals, promotions, seasonal pushes, and event attendance
- Write and publish blogs that educate, inspire, and support long-term visibility
- Make website edits in ShowIt and keep content accurate, updated, and aligned with current campaigns
- Track performance weekly and monthly, adjusting content strategy based on what is driving engagement and store traffic
- Keep everything organized with clear file systems, templates, and repeatable processes so the marketing machine keeps moving fast
- Utilize event platforms such as: Canva, Social Pilot, ShowIt, WooCommerce Blogs, Photoshop Classic, Google Drive, Outlook
- Other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
- Someone who loves creating content and is excited to be hands-on daily
- Strong reel editing skills and the ability to move fast while keeping quality high
- Confident graphic design ability (Canva required, Adobe is a huge bonus)
- Strong understanding of social trends and what performs in retail and fashion
- Organized and reliable, with the ability to balance creativity with deadlines and planning
- Comfortable being on camera and directing others on camera when needed
- A creative, upbeat personality who brings fun and energy into the work
