Work with a dynamic Board of Directors committed to advocating for students, building student power, and providing resources and services that represent, connect and benefit the undergraduate student body at Simon Fraser University.
Alongside the President and Society Executives, the Board Organizer will help lead strategic planning and development of Society campaigns, governance and policy. Additionally, the Organizer will guide the coordination of yearly work plans, and help manage the smooth delivery of services to the membership of the Student Society.
Among the highlights of the duties and responsibilities, the Board Organizer will:
- Contribute to effective oversight of Board committees, meetings, minutes and outcomes.
- Assist the President and Board members in preparing for meetings, including scheduling, administrative support and the creation of informational materials
- Maintain a master calendar of activities and events for the Executive. Arrange meetings, visits, appointments, travel arrangements, logistics coordination and itinerary preparation
- Assist with the organizational tracking of the Society's strategic plan and Board yearly plans in collaboration with the Executives and society staff
