In this role you will:


• Identify and research business and investment opportunities across multiple industries/countries


• Build quantitative and qualitative business cases to influence which projects we pursue


• Drive projects to completion, including research, project planning, and operational execution


Examples of typical responsibilities:


• Research new industries to identify market needs and business opportunities


• Turn vague ideas into clearly defined projects or potential business models


• Evaluate multiple investment or project options, and narrow down to best proposals to pursue


• Build a business case to support a particular project including evaluation of potential income, likely investment costs, competitor landscape, and other potential challenges or risks


• Identify key questions, and contact relevant industry experts to understand and document answers


• Create clear written reports and presentations to summarize your findings


• Develop business processes and training resources for future team members


Must have skills:


• Fluent communication skills in English


• Experience with Zapier, Airtable or any automation API software


• Familiar with project management softwares such as Slack and Asana


• High comfort with quantitative analysis


• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills


• Ability to develop a structured approach for ambiguous problem statements


• Excellent planning and organizational skills


• Can work independently with minimal supervision, doing your own research to build your knowledge even on topics where you do not have prior expertise


Would be a plus:


• Higher education in industrial/systems engineering, quantitative finance, MBA, or similar is preferred but this is not a highly technical role


• At least 2 years experience in an analytical role is preferred, but not required


• Experience in one of the following fields would be helpful but is not required: real estate valuation, equity valuation, furniture industry, industrial design and manufacturing, online marketing and sales
