Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000 pro-rated salary plus 6% pay in lieu of vacation

OUTCOMES

Impact Guarantee is a sector-led program designed to strengthen and grow Canada’s social finance sector. It aggregates unfunded guarantees from governments, foundations, corporations, and institutions, connecting capital providers with local fund managers in a coordinated effort to scale social finance.

By sharing risk across a single national pool, Impact Guarantee helps more SFIs raise capital, reach underserved communities, and build a stronger foundation for Canada’s social finance future.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and advancing the Impact Guarantee program in its launch year. Reporting to the program leadership team and supported by the Program Manager, the Coordinator will deliver the next-stage activities in bringing the national program to fruition.

Impact Guarantee is an initiative led by Scale Institute Society and 10Carden.


RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Program Planning and Delivery

  • Coordinate and support Committees through managing calendars, agendas, meetings, and follow-up
  • Ensure document management through organization of folders, files, surveys and any program-related documentation
  • Support the application process, including answering questions, providing information and communicating with applicants
  • Develop, launch and pilot capacity building program for social finance intermediaries, including regular gatherings, hosted webinars and learning events
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support to program committees, including meeting logistics, documentation, and follow-up actions


2. Program Communications and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain consistent communication with the program team regarding program delivery and progress
  • Lead marketing and communications related to the program: coordinating website updates, brand alignment, communications, email management, collateral, conference session preparation and presentations (as needed)
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with participants, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Engage with guarantors, funders, and government partners to support program communications
  • Support outreach to potential applicants and guarantors through lead generation, proactive and ongoing communication
  • Support guarantor stewardship and communications, including relationship management and development of presentations, briefing notes, and related materials
  • Handle participant inquiries, feedback, and complaints to maintain a high standard of learner experience


3. Program Reporting and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor program participation, feedback, and outcomes to support reporting and continuous program improvement
  • Implement the impact measurement framework and quarterly reporting approach with social finance intermediaries, guarantors, and funders
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of program materials, summaries, case studies, and impact reporting
  • Identify opportunities for program improvements and contribute to strengthening systems and processes that support program delivery


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Background

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as planning, public policy, business, communications, social finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in program coordination, research, consulting, or project delivery within the social impact, community development, or finance sectors


Core Skills

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting or delivering multi-stakeholder programs or initiatives involving partners such as nonprofits, funders, or government
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation, scheduling, and program materials
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and participants
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations, reports, briefing notes, and other program communications materials
  • Strong research, synthesis, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible language
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed team


Technical Skills

  • Google Workspace or equivalent (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Project management tools such as Asana or similar software
  • Zoom or similar video conferencing platforms


Sector Knowledge (Asset)

  • Familiarity with social finance, community finance, or impact investing
  • Understanding of alternative funding models such as community investment, blended finance, or shared ownership structures
  • Experience working with or supporting community-based organizations or social finance intermediaries
