About the Role

Salish Soils is hiring a professional, safety-focused Class 1 Driver to support hauling operations across the Sunshine Coast.

This is a year-round role for someone who takes pride in their equipment, follows through on commitments, and understands that safety and reliability are non-negotiable.

You will be trusted with company equipment, representing Salish Soils in the community, and operating in environments where professionalism matters.

What You’ll Do

🚛 Safe & Efficient Hauling

  • Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
  • Transport soil, compost, aggregates, biosolids, and recycling materials
  • Follow dispatch schedules and adjust routes responsibly
  • Secure loads in full compliance with regulations

🔍 Compliance & Accountability

  • Complete accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily
  • Maintain clean logbooks and required transport documentation
  • Follow TDG and company safety procedures
  • Report hazards, incidents, or mechanical concerns immediately

🔧 Equipment Care

  • Maintain clean, organized, well-cared-for trucks
  • Monitor vehicle condition and coordinate repairs promptly
  • Ensure equipment is ready and safe for daily operation

🤝 Team Communication

  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and yard teams
  • Represent Salish Soils respectfully with customers and partners
  • Support yard operations between hauls when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid Class 1 license (clean abstract required)
  • Proven safe driving record
  • Experience operating tractor-trailer or heavy haul equipment
  • Strong situational awareness and sound judgment
  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable
