Inventory Control Specialist

We are currently looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team.

As an Inventory Control Specialist you will be responsible for handling the day to day inventory movements, allocations, and tracking. The main responsibilities of this position include meeting inventory goals, managing tracking systems and acting as a liaison to other departments to ensure that inventory movements are accurately recorded in real-time. The successful candidate will offer recommendations to ensure ideal levels of inventory in the warehouse. Inventory Control Specialist duties will include creating and processing purchase orders; maintain and update materials inventory records; processes physical inventory and report discrepancies; ensuring material sign-out and return process completed properly; receiving shipments of materials; stocking of materials; maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse and yard.


- Use of Microsoft Office

- Order Material based on Service Tickets.

- Read and understand packing slips and invoices.

- Receive, inspect, store and secure all materials and supplies when received.

- Maintain all received inventory in an organized and efficient manner.

- Assign and account for all materials issued to work crews daily.

- Stage Parts to be used by crews daily.

- Ensure real-time inventory values and data are available when requested

- Communicate with our Manager/Supervisor about current stock and potential issues with orders;

- Conduct daily analyses to forecast potential inventory issues;

- Report on inventory activities and variances;

- Update NCRs and CARs as needed

- Log In RMA/NCR/CAR to appropriate area

- Update Panel List and pertinent Operational List/Logs


- 2+ years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures;

- Must have computer literacy & technological skills

- Must be dependable & flexible

- Must be able to lift and carry objects such as equipment & materials weighing 50+ lbs

- Able to multi-task and work independently;

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

- In-depth understanding of distribution workplaces;

- Inventory training an asset;

- Fluent in English (oral and written).
