WHO WE ARE
RunReady, the running health brand, is advancing the sport through research, innovation, and education. Led by Physiotherapists, it studies the human body and running footwear to help people run healthier and perform better.
RunReady is part of a company that includes RunAsYouAre, a Vancouver-based specialty shop offering top footwear, apparel, and accessories. Since 2013, RunAsYouAre has supported the local running community through weekly runs and events.
RunReady has launched the RunReady Performance Program, a new running health service available exclusively at the RunAsYouAre West 4th Avenue shop.
THE ROLE
The Studio Director is responsible for leading and managing a team which delivers on our brand promise of making movement health a daily habit. A successful Studio Director ensures clinical and operational standards are met to facilitate an exceptional client experience, meet business targets, and support their team’s development and growth.
This position reports to the President of RunReady. The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those that this individual is expected to perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinic Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary clinic team to ensure best-in-class care and an exceptional client experience.
- Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflows, high efficiency, and alignment with RunReady standards.
- Maintain a full clinical caseload (~19+ hours/week), modeling exceptional care and clinical reasoning.
- Collaborate with RunReady President to exceed revenue and profit targets while balancing client outcomes and clinician development.
- Lead monthly team sessions to drive communication, transparency, and a strong clinic culture.
Team Development & Coaching
- Provide 1:1 mentorship and annual performance evaluations, coaching clinicians to build stable caseloads and deliver consistent client outcomes.
- Ensure ongoing clinical development opportunities are accessible to the team.
- Partner with the Clinical Experience Lead (or equivalent) to manage day-to-day operational excellence.
- Support recruitment efforts by engaging with students, networking with colleagues, and building relationships within the clinical community.
- Ensure hiring needs and targets are met in collaboration with the President.
Referral & Community Engagement
- Build strong referral relationships to support clinician caseload growth and overall clinic expansion.
- Represent the clinic at local community events, workshops, and professional initiatives to elevate brand awareness and attract clients.
- Partner with marketing and outreach teams to align clinic activities with broader company campaigns.
Growth & Strategy
- Deliver quarterly action plans to the President, outlining strategies for clinic growth, clinician development, and operational improvements.
- Monitor and optimize clinic KPIs including utilization, turnover, and compensation alignment with budget expectations.
- Contribute business insights and feedback to regional leadership, helping shape future strategy and innovation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience | Minimum 4 years in private practice with proven leadership capability.
- Clinical Competency | Commitment to exceptional client care, managing both personal and team caseloads effectively. Licensed and in good standing with your affiliated college.
- Leadership & Mentorship | Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring clinicians, students, or colleagues.
