RunReady, the running health brand, is advancing the sport through research, innovation, and education. Led by Physiotherapists, it studies the human body and running footwear to help people run healthier and perform better.
RunReady is part of a company that includes RunAsYouAre, a Vancouver-based specialty shop offering top footwear, apparel, and accessories. Since 2013, RunAsYouAre has supported the local running community through weekly runs and events.
RunReady has launched the RunReady Performance Program, a new running health service available exclusively at the RunAsYouAre West 4th Avenue shop.
THE ROLE
As a Clinical Product Specialist (Physiotherapist), you will help bridge the gap between clinical expertise and product development. In this hybrid role, you’ll work closely with our technology and development team to ensure that the RunReady platform reflects best practices in physiotherapy, running performance, and injury prevention. You’ll also be involved in testing new features, refining user experience, and validating program effectiveness from a clinical lens.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Research & Product Development
- Clinical Validation | Apply your physiotherapy expertise to ensure accuracy, efficacy, and safety of RunReady’s movement assessment protocols, footwear recommendations, and exercise library.
- Product Development Collaboration | Collaborate with Technology, Product, and Run Specialist teams to evolve the RunReady Performance Program, translating clinical workflows into intuitive digital tools and integrated footwear fitting experiences.
- Testing + Feedback | Pilot new features, identify gaps, and provide actionable feedback for continuous product improvement.
- Content Development | Contribute to instructional video scripts, exercise protocols, and educational resources to support both clinicians and end users.
- Research + Insights | Stay current with physiotherapy, sports medicine, and running science, applying insights to guide product updates and long-term innovation.
RunReady Product Development | 15%
- Deliver program elements in-store (movement and treadmill assessments, footwear recommendations, and customized exercise prescriptions) as a means of testing and validation.
- Collect real-time client feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of assessments, recommendation logic, and exercise programs.
- Build strong client relationships during in-store sessions, prioritizing clinical reasoning and outcomes to inform program improvements.
- Work closely with RunReady and RunAsYouAre teams to ensure an exceptional client experience while piloting and refining program delivery.
Training & Support
- Assist in onboarding physiotherapists who license RunReady, guiding them in integrating the platform into their practices.
- Provide clinical context, best practices, and ongoing support to ensure effective adoption and consistent client outcomes.
Community & Events
- Partner with Brand & Marketing to promote RunReady through outreach, workshops, and educational events.
- Provide clinical expertise for footwear launches and special campaigns.
- Build relationships with referral sources and community partners to grow awareness and expand the client base.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed and in good standing with your affiliated college
- Specialization in run-specific assessments and treatment is an asset
- Strong interest in running, biomechanics, and injury prevention.
- Excellent communication skills—able to translate clinical language into clear, user-friendly concepts.
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams (product, engineering, design).
- Experience with digital health products, SaaS platforms, or tech-enabled platforms
- Ability to meet the scheduling requirements of this position (10-40 hours / week in person at our studio on West 4th in Kitsilano, Vancouver)
- Familiarity with Run Specialty / Retail is an asset
