The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination and timely execution of service requests. Primary responsibilities will include addressing customer inquiries, supporting dispatch operations, and collaborating with various teams to deliver exceptional service.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and texts when communicating with customers and drivers
    • Provide accurate and timely information regarding services, pricing, and scheduling
    • Monitor and track service orders, keeping customers informed of the status of their requests
    • Identify and troubleshoot service request issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate teams
  • Enter customer orders into courier software (e.g., Dispatch Science), accurately capturing pickup and delivery times, locations, and other relevant service details
  • Conduct research to support the Dispatch team by providing information on transportation legislation, municipal bylaws, traffic regulations, etc., to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Perform other office duties as assigned


The successful candidate should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role (experience in transportation and logistics is considered an asset)
  • A professional demeanor, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), web-based systems, and courier software, with high adaptability to new and unfamiliar platforms
  • Pleasant and professional phone manners, along with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve minor issues in a timely manner
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

  • Extended hours of sitting
  • Necessity to file and move the files to organize; includes, but is not limited to, standing, walking, bending or twisting at the waist, climbing, reaching

Salary: Starting from $17.00 per hour, commensurate to experience and skills
