This role is remote with a preference for US-based applicants in the Eastern Time Zone.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Consumer Protection Director, the Self-Testing Analyst will be responsible for the duties and obligations listed below.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Consumer Protection Director or designee to establish, review, and revise the annual self-testing plan;
- Ensure compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting are consistent with regulatory requirements;
- Execute the self-testing plan in accordance with Self-Testing Policy;
- Understand and recommend where artificial intelligence can be used to more efficiently operationalize self-testing;
- Leverage data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, BI tools) to enhance sampling, trend analysis, and anomaly detection;
- Ensure that sample sizes are appropriate based on initial population;
- Create appropriate documentation and workpapers that explain testing steps, testing results, and criticality of issues;
- Document all issues and observations, including corresponding criticality on an observation log along with assigned owner and resolutions;
- Track all remediation plans to conclusion;
- Ensure that all testing materials are maintained in an organized manner;
- Routinely report all self-testing key performance indicators to Compliance management;
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive compliant solutions to adherence to the regulatory regime governing RockWallet’s business;
- Communicate legal and regulatory requirements impacting the different lines of our business, and provide regulatory compliance guidance;
- Coordinate with Compliance Management responses to internal and external audit requests; and,
- Other duties as required.
Candidate Profile
- Associate’s degree in business or related field or equivalent relevant experience preferred
- Service professional with 3+ years’ experience with consumer protection regulations desired
- Professional designation such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (“ CRCM”) or equivalent preferred
- Detailed knowledge of consumer protection regulations including, but not limited to, Truth in Savings, Funds Availability, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Unfair Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices, and Privacy of Consumer Financial Information
- Compliance experience with initial and ongoing disclosures, deposit servicing, payment cards, stored value, and complaint handling and tracking
- Direct Experience with the operations of automated transaction monitoring systems
- Ability to partner effectively with and influence RockWallet technology and external technology vendors
- Experience with drafting and editing consumer protection procedures and workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan and manage multiple and competing priorities
- Multi-tasking skills required
- Must be flexible and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure in a dynamic regulatory landscape.
- Disciplined self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively with minimum supervision
