Reporting to the VP, Architecture, the Senior Mobile Developer (Android) will be responsible for the following duties and obligations:

Job Title: Senior Mobile Developer (Android)

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Developer with 7+ years of hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance Android applications. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile apps while mentoring junior developers and collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver features
• Lead code reviews and ensure best practices for performance, security, and quality
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to team growth
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and user experience
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and cloud services
• Write unit tests, instrumentation tests, and support CI/CD pipelines
• Stay up to date with Android platform changes, tools, and emerging trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of professional experience in Android application development

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK
• Deep understanding of Android architecture components (MVVM, LiveData, ViewModel, Room)
• Experience with Jetpack libraries and modern Android development practices
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and networking libraries (Retrofit, OkHttp)
• Experience with dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt/Koin)
• Proficient with Git and version control workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Domain Expertise

• Crypto Wallets & Blockchain Applications (non-custodial wallets, transaction flows, key management, Web3 integrations)
• Digital Wallets & Fintech Solutions (payments, UPI/cards, KYC, security, compliance)
• Freight & Logistics Solutions (shipment tracking, fleet management, real-time status, supply chain workflows)
• eCommerce Platforms (catalogs, carts, payments, order management, user engagement)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jetpack Compose
• Familiarity with Firebase, Google Play Console, and app publishing processes
• Knowledge of modular architecture and clean architecture principles
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Prior experience leading or owning Android projects
