Role Overview
As a key member of the executive team, the Vice President, Business Development, is responsible for driving global revenue growth for MNEE Pay, a bank-grade, POS-native stablecoin acceptance network that lets merchants accept any major stablecoin online and at POS while settling into a single, yield-bearing MNEE USD balance with instant, low-fee, compliant treasury and fiat off-ramps. This executive will build and scale strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, and distribution channels that position MNEE Pay as the universal stablecoin acceptance layer for merchants and financial partners worldwide.
The role focuses on commercializing and scaling MNEE Pay across physical retail, e-commerce, and QR-based payments globally, with emphasis on driving adoption of MNEE Pay's "pay with any stablecoin" value proposition and growing MNEE USD processing volume, yield-generating balances, and off-ramp flows in over 70 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business development activities to drive merchant and distribution partner (gateways, processors and ecommerce platforms) adoption of MNEE Pay's bank-grade, global stablecoin acceptance network, from sourcing to closing revenue-generating deals.
- Meet and exceed processing volume, revenue, and active merchant targets for MNEE Pay, with a focus on sub-1% processing economics and displacement of traditional 3–4% card rails.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with acquirers, PSPs, ISVs, banks, and fintechs to embed MNEE Pay as the POS-native stablecoin rail across physical retail, online checkout, and QR payment experiences.
- Structure commercial models that maximize yield-bearing MNEE USD balances, including incentives for merchants to hold, auto-convert to USD, or off-ramp to local fiat through MNEE's compliant treasury and banking partners.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with banks, payment networks, stablecoin issuers, and ecosystem partners to extend MNEE Pay's coverage, fiat off-ramps in 70+ countries, and deep U.S. banking integrations (DDAs, cards, ACH).
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to prioritize features that enhance merchant economics (no chargebacks, instant final settlement, lower fees than cards) and reduce complexity by abstracting chains, tokens, and settlement flows into a single MNEE USD balance.
- Create financial models, commercial cases, and board-level materials to evaluate major partnership opportunities, pricing strategies, and new market launches for MNEE Pay.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development and partnerships team focused on merchant acquisition, channel distribution, and enterprise accounts.
- Monitor competitive dynamics in payments, stablecoins, and DeFi, and refine the positioning of MNEE Pay as the universal stablecoin acceptance layer for merchants and financial institutions.
- Perform other duties as required to support RockWallet & MNEE's strategic growth objectives and corporate initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, corporate development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in payments, fintech, acquiring, or related financial services, with a strong track record of building networks or rails at scale.
- Deep understanding of merchant acquiring, POS systems, online payment flows, and interchange/card economics, with the ability to articulate the MNEE Pay value proposition of lower fees, no chargebacks, and instant settlement.
- Familiarity with stablecoins, digital assets, and banking partnerships, including cross-border off-ramps, treasury, and compliance considerations.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and owning revenue targets for high-growth, product-led businesses.
- Proven ability to recruit, lead, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
