The Role 

If you're a natural relationship builder who also loves the thrill of sales and closing a deal, this one's for you. 

As an SMB Account Executive at RocketRez, you’ll own the pipeline of our SMB accounts across the tours and attractions space, building real relationships, understanding how their businesses run, and helping them find the right fit with our platform. You'll be the person these accounts turn to, and you'll know how to move conversations forward and get deals done. 

This is a great role for someone earlier in their sales career who wants real quota ownership and a faster-moving deal environment. You'll be working a higher volume of accounts with shorter sales cycles; think momentum and consistency over long enterprise pursuits. You'll have the full support of our Customer Success and Product teams behind you, so your focus stays squarely on building relationships and closing. 

Bonus points if you come from the tours, attractions, or ticketing world. Operators in this space have a language of their own, and candidates who already speak it tend to hit the ground running. 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Carry a personal sales quota and take full ownership of hitting it – This is your number. 
  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of SMB accounts from first conversation through to close, with a focus on speed and consistency 
  • Run efficient discovery calls and product demos that get to the point and move deals forward. 
  • Keep your CRM accurate and your pipeline honest (e.g., clean stages, timely follow-up, and a reliable forecast) 
  • Build genuine relationships with your accounts so that when they're ready to buy or expand, you're the first call they make 
  • Collaborate with Customer Success on handoffs so your customers land well after the close, but the relationship and revenue side stays with you 
  • Bring market intelligence back to the team. What you're hearing in the field is valuable, and we want to hear it 
  • Stay sharp on the tours, attractions, and ticketing space so you can speak your customers' language and show up as a credible partner 

Key Qualifications 

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying role (account executive, account management, inside sales, or business development)
  • A genuine sales mindset. You are motivated by closing, comfortable asking for the business, and accountable to revenue targets 
  • Experience managing a book of SMB accounts with responsibility for retention and growth, not just relationship maintenance 
  • Strong pipeline discipline: you keep your CRM accurate, your forecast honest, and your follow-up consistent 
  • Excellent communicator who can build rapport quickly and navigate commercial conversations with confidence 
  • Ability to manage a high volume of accounts and opportunities simultaneously without dropping the ball 
  • Based and legally authorized to work in Canada. (Winnipeg-based is a bonus)  

Strongly Preferred 

  • Experience in the tours, attractions, ticketing, or hospitality technology industries. Operators in this space speak a specific language, and candidates who already speak it ramp faster and build trust quicker 
  • Familiarity with timed ticketing, point-of-sale, reservation management, or similar operator-facing platforms 
  • Experience selling or managing accounts in a SaaS or technology environment

  • You're more energized by making customers happy than by finding and closing commercial opportunities 
  • You prefer to leave pricing conversations and renewals to someone else
