Position Summary

Riyo Games is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to help grow awareness, visibility, and pre-launch demand for Threads of Time.

You will work closely with studio leadership and the development team to build and execute a thoughtful content and channel strategy that helps the game stand out across social platforms, email, and other owned channels.

The ideal candidate understands how to turn development progress, campaign beats, and brand moments into compelling marketing content that builds audience interest and supports meaningful storefront action. They are both strategic and hands-on, comfortable building a plan, writing and shaping content, coordinating with internal stakeholders, managing publishing calendars, and using performance data to refine what is working.

NOTE: This is a 6-month full-time contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the social and content marketing plan for Threads of Time across major platforms
  • Create, write, and publish marketing content tailored to each channel, including social posts, campaign copy, announcements, and other audience-facing materials
  • Work closely with studio leadership and the team to identify development updates, milestones, and assets that can be turned into compelling marketing beats
  • Work closely with external partners and the community manager to coordinate campaign planning, content needs, approvals, and rollout timing
  • Manage the calendar and help ensure consistent, high-quality publishing across channels
  • Help grow game visibility, audience awareness, and pre-launch demand through organic and partner-supported marketing efforts
  • Support email marketing and audience funnel management, including list growth, segmentation, and campaign execution
  • Analyze channel and campaign performance, including reach, engagement, traffic, and broader indicators of pre-release momentum, and make recommendations based on results
  • Stay current on platform trends, content formats, and best practices relevant to game marketing
  • Help refine and maintain a strong, consistent brand voice across outward-facing marketing communications
  • Support key campaign beats with clear messaging, strong positioning, and effective calls to action
  • Identify opportunities to test and improve messaging, content formats, timing, and channel strategy over time


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in games marketing, growth marketing, digital marketing, or social/content marketing
  • Experience contributing to or leading marketing efforts for a game launch or major campaign
  • Strong understanding of how to build audience awareness and convert interest into measurable pre-launch demand
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across different platforms and audiences
  • Strong familiarity with major social platforms and how content strategy differs across each
  • Experience with email marketing tools, audience segmentation, and lifecycle or funnel-based thinking
  • Comfortable working with analytics and using performance data to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage calendars, approvals, and cross-functional coordination
  • Passion for games, with strong knowledge of the RPG or JRPG space are considered a major plus
  • Self-starter who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving indie environment


Pluses

  • Experience managing paid social campaigns and ad budgets across major platforms 
  • Experience marketing indie or mid-sized premium PC/console games
  • Experience supporting storefront campaigns and pre-launch audience growth
  • Familiarity with creator and influencer campaigns
  • Basic creative skills in short-form video editing, image editing, or asset assembly
  • Resident of Ontario or Quebec, Canada


Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 CAD
