Position Summary

We’re seeking a Senior Game Producer for a 6-month contract to support the development of Threads of Time, our retro-inspired 2.5D JRPG. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of a collaborative production team, driving milestone coordination, resource planning, and cross-functional support. We’re looking for someone who can flex across areas such as porting, localization, and other team needs as priorities shift.

You’ll use your strong production toolkit, problem solving, scheduling, conflict resolution, and communication, to keep us aligned and moving forward. Your leadership will empower teams, support smooth handoffs across departments, and help deliver an unforgettable game.

We’re on a mission to craft retro-infused JRPGs that spark the imagination and nostalgia of your favorite childhood games. Our team includes industry legends from iconic titles like Xenoblade Chronicles, Legend of Mana, and more.

Responsibilities

Project Management and Scheduling

  • Deliver Milestones: Own successful milestone execution across multiple departments
  • Flexible Planning: Take on mid-level planning and create realistic project schedules for the teams, including setting key dates and reviews. Break down the roadmap into actionable steps, identify and manage dependencies
  • Resource Management: Track capacity and velocity to identify constraints and improve efficiency
  • Optimize Pipelines: Suggest and implement process improvements for smoother cross-discipline collaboration


Team Coordination and Mentorship

  • Facilitate Production Meetings: Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, feature kickoffs, and others as needed
  • Risk Management: Anticipate potential risks, proactively develop mitigation strategies, and resolve production challenges as they arise
  • Conflict Resolution: Maintain a positive working environment by addressing conflicts swiftly and collaboratively
  • Communication Excellence: Keep stakeholders, senior leadership, and team members informed with clear, timely updates on project progress

Cross-Team Support

  • Jump In Where Needed: Provide support across porting, localization, QA, and other areas
  • Uphold Standards: Ensure the game aligns with the studio’s vision and meets the highest quality standards.
  • Champion Culture: Champion the studio’s values and goals, promoting a positive, inclusive culture

Stakeholder and Market Liaison

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for milestone production and production initiatives
  • Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends to maintain the studio’s competitive edge
  • Creative Input: Utilize your JRPG knowledge to contribute to the creative aspects of game development


Requirements

  • 5+ years in game production, including senior-level responsibilities and a full shipped title
  • Strong project management skills, with experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Deep knowledge of JRPGs and retro-inspired design sensibilities
  • Familiarity with the realities of end-of-cycle production and the flexibility it requires
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools and tracking software (e.g. Jira)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000
