Republik is looking for a Social Media and Content Creation Specialist who wants to work with brands that take meaningful action for the environment and society.


We’re looking for someone with impeccable French, strong written English skills, and an excellent grasp of the latest features and best practices on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok. This person understands how to communicate effectively, taking into account the angle, tone, and messages specific to each brand and client. Creative and agile, they’re skilled in short-form video creation and know how to adapt trends to reflect a brand’s unique identity. Their sharp observational skills, cultural awareness, and curiosity—especially around emerging tools like generative AI—enhance their strategic and creative approach to social media.


Alright, so what’s the job?

The job is to change the world through the creation of social capital. Artificial intelligence is one of the tools we use to create, analyze, and optimize the tasks below. We’re looking for someone who is forward-thinking, curious, and proactive. They should learn quickly, explore AI with discernment, and maintain a fundamentally human approach.

More concretely, here’s what your day-to-day could look like:


Strategy

  • Develop content strategies and content ideas for various clients
  • Build and update content calendars aligned with the overarching strategy
  • Analyze content performance and make data-driven recommendations to guide future creative and to develop quarterly reports for clients

Copywriting

  • Write and edit short-form captions in French and English for client and agency platforms
  • Brief and manage external collaborators such as content creators and influencers

Community management  

  • Define community management strategies tailored to each client’s platforms
  • Grow and engage communities in a thoughtful and organic way
  • Navigate social platforms to both publish and sponsor content to targeted audiences
  • Oversee all aspects of community animation and audience development

Content creation

  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute creative short-form video content
  • Supervise post-production and ensure timely delivery of assets
  • Stay informed about emerging social trends and new platform features
  • Be open to occasionally appearing in video content for clients


What kind of background are you looking for?

That being said, the ideal candidate demonstrates:


Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, whether in an agency, on the client side, in a relevant media outlet, or through personal projects
  • Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, design, film or any other relevant field
  • Interest in generative AI tools for social media (e.g., scripting, image, video creation, trend tracking) and a desire to use them strategically and creatively
  • Strong grasp of content marketing, digital ecosystems (social platforms, external media, branded content, etc.), production workflows and marketing terminology
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English
  • Mastery of social platforms and in-depth knowledge of platform-specific nuances (Business Manager, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, etc.)
  • Significant experience in producing short-form, high-engagement video content for social media
  • Strong focus on customer service and sharp critical thinking
  • Creative and open mindset, keen curiosity, sense of initiative, autonomy, and versatility
