Art direction

CréationFull TimeMontréal, QC

We wish the next few lines were self-explanatory, but we know they're not. At Republik, our mission is clear: to help brands change the world. To do that, we need to create an inclusive environment and build a diverse team where everyone feels free to put their convictions to work and where they can feel heard and encouraged. We believe in recruitment, hiring, training, compensation and promotion that doesn’t discriminate on the basis of race, religion, skin color, nationality, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical disability, age, language, accent or any other characteristic that makes us unique. We also believe that bringing people together with different identities, experiences and abilities helps us to truly understand the communities we work with, so we can be even more creative. And so the industries we work with can change.

Republik is looking for a skilled infographic designer with a passion for their craft. We want someone who loves what they do and is eager to develop their skills in infographic design. Working closely with creative directors, art directors and the rest of the creative team, you will actively contribute to the development of visually striking, high-quality graphics that align with our established graphic charter. Projects will include standard guides, annual reports, ESG reports and multi-platform adaptations, both digital and print, as conceptualized by art directors and creative directors. You will meet the internal and external communication needs of companies and organizations that are committed to taking concrete action for the environment and society. We’re looking for a passionate individual to collaborate with our team, aligning with our customers’ values of social and environmental responsibility.

All right, so what’s the job?

The job is to change the world through the Creation of Social Capital. But if you want us to be more precise, here's a list of tasks you'll have to do in your day-to-day:

  • Working closely with the Creative Director, copywriters, designers, project managers and strategists to push design projects forward from brainstorms to final delivery.
  • Working with copywriters occasionally to generate provocative, impactful ideas for everything from content campaigns to social ads–and foster them through production;
  • Collaborating with the creation and production teams to develop art direction for brand imagery and lead the execution of photoshoots and videos;
  • Articulating concepts and presenting art directions to clients;
  • Collaborating with the Creative Director on branding projects to create unique aesthetics;
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions along with the creative team;
  • Designing key assets and occasionally collaborating with designers for fine-tuning purposes.

  • You meet challenges with a sense of possibility and openness;
