Hey there! We’re Relish, a group of interactive innovators committed to improving how people live, learn, work, and play. We immerse our clients’ customers into digital worlds that thrill, delight, and disrupt. We’re a tight, nimble team that does mighty things. Check out some our recent projects here:

We’re looking for an Animation Supervisor to support us on several ongoing projects.

Who are you?

You’re a seasoned animator who's developed a deep understanding of episodic processes and animation principles, to the point you feel confident guiding a team of animators. You’ve got something special you want to bring to the team, and you’re ready to join a squad that will nurture it and help you bring it to life. You’re a thinker, a doer, a dreamer, and a maker:

  • You’ve got a minimum of 5 years experience on an episodic production. Lead Animator experience is a plus.
  • You’re proficient with animation software, ideally 2D and 3D, and have a deep technical problem solving ability with the package picked for the production
  • You’re an expert communicator, with the ability to adapt, operate calmly, and thrive under pressure
  • Your demo reel shows us your ability to breathe life into characters and scenes through an expert knowledge of timing, weight, acting, and all the other principles that make or break a strong animated performance

Wait, what? That’s me! Tell me more. What would my day look like?

You’ll provide scene specific notes on body mechanics, composition, layout and acting, as well as critiquing on the overall quality of a given scene. You’ll think 'big picture' in terms of how the individual scenes fit into the overall episode and work together in continuity. You’ll act as the team leader to the animators and provide complete ownership of the animation process, working directly with the series director to deliver the highest quality episode on schedule.

  • You’ll conduct a weekly team meeting with the animators, where the episode is screened and discussed.
  • You’ll provide a Q & A session to field any questions and concerns from the team, as well as communicate any specific direction from the Supervising Director or client.
  • Provide animation specific feedback on the animatic from a technical perspective, and communicate necessary changes to the Supervising Director that could lead to potential scope creep or issues threatening the deadline.
  • Review animators' scenes one by one, providing critique and feedback by way of notes, drawings and 1 on 1 chats.
  • Provide mentorship where needed, to help the individual animators grow creatively and technically.
  • Strictly adhere to production deadlines, and guide the animation team to follow suit.
  • String together scenes and sequences into the episodic whole while scene checking, to make sure continuity errors are identified and corrected.
  • Attend regular meetings with the production staff and supervising director for a bird’s eye view on the production as a whole and how it relates to the animation team.

Yeah, I want in! How do we get started?

We thought you would. We need to see some evidence of your animation experience, how you’ve made an impact on other teams, and understand where you’re located (or if you’re willing to relocate to be a part of our team). Please be sure to include a link to your demo reel in your application! Apply today or send an email out to if you’ve got questions.
