Who You Are:

We’re seeking a technical Business Analyst to be the subject matter expert for the the implementation of Railz’s integrations with third party financial (accounting, banking, e-commerce) data sources used by businesses. You are a team player, technically-minded, and enjoy making sense of data

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the VP of Product, you will work with product and engineering to analyze new data sources to understand and communicate, in detail, how the implementation should interact with our current product and data models
• Become an expert on the implementation and data model details of each Railz integration by providing effective technical consultation
• Research new data source integrations or product features to identify requirement prior to build
• Document the user and data flow of new integrations once it has been built so it can be digested by the customers and the rest of the product team
• Participate in writing documentation, improving processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to accomplish product goals

Skills and Qualifications:

• A highly technical background (i.e. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field)
• 2+ years experience in technical business analyst or equivalent role
• Familiarity with modern web services, APIs and data models
• Skill in building strong working relationships with business and technology teams and partners
• Ability to articulate complex technical problems or solutions in a business-friendly language
• You are a big picture person - you can investigate problems and understand that there is more than one way to solve them
• The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
• Excellent grammar & communication skills, fast learner, and self-motivated
• High attention to detail

Bonus Points:

• You've worked in a fast-moving tech startup.
• Previous experience working with financial data, or an interest to learn.
• Prior experience with B2B SaaS products.
