Railz is a FinTech company that provides a single API to all major accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.) service providers and enables on-demand access to financial transactions, analytics, insights and reports on small business customers.


Our solution suits any lender, financial institution, accounting firm, auditor and tech developer that requires financial data on its small business customers for the purpose of assessing the financial health of a business.


Our Data-as-a-Service solution allows our customers to be up and running in hours. We provide quick, low cost and direct access to both existing and new customers’ accounting software via our single API.

Who You Are:

In this role, you will own the post-sales technical strategy and advocate for the best solutions possible based on our mutual roadmaps and requirements. As the voice of the customer, you will ensure the requirements are communicated clearly and often, setting expectations where needed.


You will be responsible for becoming a technical and product expert in Railz’s offering, understanding the best possible way for our customers to leverage our APIs to reach their business objectives. You will own multiple customer relationships and be up to date on our latest releases so you can share those new solutions with customers. You will work in collaboration with Customer Success Managers and other cross-functional teams to build and execute the best technical strategies for our customers.


Responsibilities

  • Work with our customers who include startups all the way to enterprise as the technical expert on how they can build with Railz to achieve their business objectives
  • Own the post-sales technical strategy and ensure that we’ve are building the best experience possible for businesses looking to connect with our customers’ applications
  • Push for alignment on both the customer’s roadmap and ours so timing is optimal, set expectations where needed
  • Document customer feedback to our internal teams and communicate why it matters
  • Work our customers to resource their teams properly based on their timeline and strategy
  • Provide clear technical expertise on how to implement and manage Railz
  • Establish relationships with the stakeholders that will help bring our customer’s product to market, including technical stakeholders from engineers to CTOs, push for alignment with non-technical teams
  • Create business objectives that are measurable and deliverable
  • Provide insight and direction on other ways your customers can utilize Railz in their business
  • Serve as the point of contact for escalation that are higher than typical support channels

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a technology focused role that combined technical expertise with business acumen
  • Experience managing customer relationships and development / execution of technical strategies
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively explain technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to simplify complex and technical concepts in a concise way
  • Deep understanding of REST API and GraphQL APIs, data infrastructure and architecture
  • Independent thinker who takes initiative to understand customer needs and can guide them through complex and technical builds
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with all teams and levels of seniority
  • Experience in Fintech and accounting considered an asset

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience with SaaS products and startups
  • Experience working with payment and financial platforms (e.g. Stripe, QuickBooks, etc.)
