Applications Engineer – Calgary, AB
Build the bridge between customer reality and engineered solutions.
Why this role exists
At Qnergy Inc., applications engineering is where good ideas survive contact with the real world. This role sits at the intersection of customer needs, engineering execution, and field performance—making sure our systems are configured right, deployed right, and improved fast once they’re live.
If you like owning the technical story end-to-end (spec → build → startup → improvement), this one’s for you.
What you’ll actually do
- Be the primary technical interface for application engineering, system configuration, and deployment.
- Translate site conditions and customer requirements into clear specs, proposals, and cost models.
- Support field testing, startups, troubleshooting, and customer demos—not from a distance.
- Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to drive design updates, reliability fixes, and cost reductions.
- Create and maintain drawings, calculations, manuals, and datasheets that people actually use.
- Track field reliability metrics and kick off root cause analysis when things go sideways.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Execs on product roadmap input, launches, and positioning.
